Alexandra Maria Lara, a Romanian and German actress working in TV and film is well known for movies like Rush as well as Downfall Youth Without Youth Control. She was the sole child of Romanian actress Valentin Platareu. Alexandra started her professional career in the show business in the early years of her life. When she turned 16, Alexandra had landed prominent roles in a variety of TV dramas. Her critically-acclaimed performance in the film made for television Der Tunnel paved way for other notable roles including the role of Adolf Hitler's secretary Traudl Junge in the commercially and critically popular Oscar nominated historical war drama film Downfall. The Reader and Der Baader Meinhof Komplex are two other Oscar nominated features featuring female stars. Alexandra's work has led her to be involved in a variety of notable international and national projects. The projects include British biographical films Control Greek dramatic film The Dust of Time French historical Miniseries Napoleon and many more. In addition, she was a member of the jury for the Cannes Film Festival and the Transylvania International Film Festival.
